  • General Medical Council (GMC), UK will accept medical qualification issued by Spartan University for those graduates who are seeking medical licensure in UK following strict guidelines as listed in the FAQ section.

We received a confirmation letter from the General Medical Council (GMC), UK stating that due to the recent changes of our basic medical science program implemented after January 2009, our graduates who are seeking licensure in UK will be considered by the Council. The applicants should present their primary medical qualification (PMQs) credentials issued by Spartan University to the GMC for consideration. This is not applicable to graduates, who started their studies before January, 2009. The letter states: “...we will consider holders of PMQs issued by Spartan HSU who started their course of study during or after January 2009 on a case-by-case basis. In doing so, we will be seeking to be satisfied that they hold a PMQ that complies with all of the relevant GMC criteria. The PMQ must satisfy those criteria both at the point the holder graduated, and at the point at which they apply for registration.” .

  • Spartan medical students donate to underprivileged people in the local community.

Spartan Medical Students donate once again. This time to a Micoud Soup Kitchen.
The most recent donation from the Spartan students was two portable gas stoves that were donated on Saturday April 17, 2011 to the Micoud Soup kitchen which serves meals to 30-60 underprivileged people weekly from the Micoud area. The President of the Spartan organization in charge of community service (AMSA), Ms Hannah Shaheen, who made the presentation said the operators of the kitchen were very grateful to receive the gift as they were desperately in need of additional stoves to increase the amount of food they prepare each day.
The students pledged to come back to the area in a month or two to conduct a Blood Pressure and Blood sugar screening free of charge for the people who eat at the Kitchen and all other interested people.
