| | | | | | The President of the Spartan Health Sciences University (SHSU), School of Medicine is pleased to announce that a site visit team from the New York State Education Department, Office Of The Professions determined that the program of medical education offered at Spartan substantially meets the requirements of the Regulations of the Commissioner of the New York State Education Department and will recommend to the Deputy Commissioner that the school of medicine be approved to conduct student clinical clerkships in hospitals located in New York State. The site visit was conducted by the team on 8th of December 2009. | December 8, 2009 | | | | | We received a confirmation letter from the General Medical Council (GMC), UK stating that due to the recent changes of our basic medical science program implemented after January 2009, our graduates who are seeking licensure in UK will be considered by the Council. The applicants should present their primary medical qualification (PMQs) credentials issued by Spartan University to the GMC for consideration. This is not applicable to graduates, who started their studies before January, 2009. The letter states: “….we will consider holders of PMQs issued by Spartan HSU who started their course of study during or after January 2009 on a case-by-case basis. In doing so, we will be seeking to be satisfied that they hold a PMQ that complies with all of the relevant GMC criteria. The PMQ must satisfy those criteria both at the point the holder graduated, and at the point at which they apply for registration.” . | April 16, 2010 | | | | | 1.
