As the incoming President of Spartan Health Sciences University, School of Medicine, I welcome all who believe in the well being of humanity. My association with Spartan is to fulfill my lifelong goal to educate all who are able and willing to pursue a career in medicine and be instrumental in making the dreams of prospective students, a reality.

As the Chairman of Surgery in a major teaching hospital in metropolitan New York, I have been practicing medicine and training residents for almost three decades.

Spartan can boast of an excellent track record over the last 28 years, thanks to the vision and efforts of founder and President, Harvard trained Dr. Manuel Hernandez. Sound infrastructure, professional administration, good facilities fostering consistent academic success; have been accomplished over time. A dedicated and committed group of Faculty members have also been instrumental in the creation of a successful generation of future doctors. We indeed are blessed with a great alumni. I hope to be able to motivate many more students at Spartan, to reach greater heights of excellence in the field of medicine.

I propose to further expand and modernize campus facilities; provide improved educational resources for Board examinations in addition to the regular scheduled curriculum and enhance the strength of basic, pre-clinical and clinical faculty. We will complement the education with experts in their field.

Providing quality and affordable education, focused on the success of our students is the motto of Spartan Health Sciences University.
