Assistant Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry
Dr Muftau Yekeen is a Nigerian trained medical practitioner with over 12 years clinical practice experience in private and public hospitals in both Nigeria and the Caribbean. He has always had a flare for helping the under-privileged, which was why he was chosen as the pioneer medical officer-in-charge of the newly created Imota LG health center way back in 2003, after successfully manning the D.O.T clinic unit, (for the treatment of PTB and AIDS), of the General hospital Ikorodu, Nigeria, the previous 2 years.
He loves to share his knowledge, both general and medical, and that is one of the reasons that encouraged him to go into teaching.
He has certifications in Clinical Research, GCP (Good clinical practice) and ICH (International committee on harmonization), and is approaching the completion of his post graduate fellowship in Pain Medicine.
He is a member of the following organizations;
- 1. Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
- 2. Nigeria Medical Association
- 3. St Kitts and Nevis Medical and Dental council
- 4. St Lucia Medical and Dental Council
- 5. International Association for the study of Pain (IASP)
