Dr. Dagbue joined Spartan as a part-time faculty in the Department of Surgery, in Oct 2009 when he commenced clinical observer-ship training for medical students. He Holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree (MBBS) from the University of Benin Nigeria (1988).He had his residency training in Orthopedics and Traumatology with the West African College of Surgeons, and became a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons in Orthopedics and Traumatology on completion of his residency in 1998.
During this Residency period, he participated actively in the teaching and training of medical Students and junior Residents. He also spent 11 months between 2007 & 2008 on a SICOT scholarship to Cuba to train in limb lengthening and external fixation. Between 2000 and 2001 he was the head of Orthopedics at the Georgetown Hospital in Guyana, and also a Part time Lecturer in Orthopedics (both Classroom teaching and clinical bedside teaching) for the School of Medicine University of Guyana.
He joined St. Jude Hospital in 2001 as an orthopedic Surgeon and Traumatologist, and participates in clinical and bedside teaching of house officers, and senior house officers. He became an Assistant Professor in the Surgery Department of Spartan in October 2010.
